Christmas Time
So I’ve been helping friends decorate their trees lately. You could say I’m Santa’s little helper.
And like grown adults we partake in delicious food and drinks while doing so.

One thing
One thing I realize I hate is apartment hunting. I get not wanting to have animals in a place but to think that smaller dogs are better than bigger dogs just infuriates me. I have never come across a big dog who just starts peeing everywhere like I have around small dogs. Another thing is the yapping. A big dog will let its voice be heard but it will not consistently yap and yap and yap. It will...

Boots
I finally decided it was time to throw away my boots from 2006.
If I was going to get rid of my favorite boots of all time, then I was damn sure going to invest in some good new ones.

Travels
Since the end of March, until the end of July, I have had a place to go.
Each month I’ve packed a suitcase going from Austin, to Pittsburgh, to Chicago, to Fort Myers, Florida, to Tampa/St.Petersburg, Florida, to DC, to Philadelphia.
While it was all fun and exciting I realized one thing, I would not want a job where I had to travel all of the time. I hate dealing with airport security,...

One day....
One day we will meet and fall in love and have lots and lots of dogs together. And by the way I love how you introduced George the other night on Jimmy Fallon.
An evening with the Pattons.
It was a fun evening spending time conversing, listening to records, eating super good food, and playing with a happy little baby.
I left with an awesome spread of vegetables (I already used half of it by the time I took this photo!)….
And the introduction to an awesome band, The Head and the Heart.

Nature v. Humans
A whole bunch of us at work became addicted to watching the web cam of the Bald Eaglets nesting and being taken care of by their parents. The Norfolk Botanical Garden/Wildlife Center of Virginia set this “Eagle Cam” up and it became recognized nation wide. Classrooms full of students and people such as myself at work became attached to the babies and the parents. The saddest occurrence...

Silver Fox
I went to my first Richmond Forum on Sunday and was amazed by the lecture given by Anderson Cooper. He was completely modest, funny, engaging, compassionate, intelligent, etc. I could go on and on but if I would recommend reading what this reviewer at Richmond.com outlined about the speech. Also, I just purchased Cooper’s book Dispatches From the Edge: A Memoir of War, Disasters, and...

Lets do something.
Sunday, Des and I took a random road trip to DC. First, we checked out 2 Amy’s for some delicious pizza. Then off to the museums and the first stop was the National Museum of Natural History. I haven’t been to that museum in about 15 years and it was awesome to revisit the dinosaurs, the Hope Diamond, and the other various exhibits. We headed over to the National Archives and the only...
